# Alpitour

How using a multi-channel platform enabled integration between suppliers and customers

The solution implemented in Alpitour reflects the maximum potential that our multi-channel platform can offer: the integration of environments developed and designed differently through the use of standard connectors. The transmission of fax communications to and from the numerous agencies served, the transmission of SMS messages to the users of the group's airline are just some of the communications managed by the platform. The software solution used is the Kofax Communication Server, below we list the components and their use:

• SMTP Connector:
  allows the transmission and forwarding of messages through and to systems that manage the SMTP protocol, usually used to interface with email environments
• SMS Connector:
  allows the sending of SMS communications, currently used for the notification of flight schedule adjustments
• File Interface Connector:
  allows integration, via a specific text path, with the main Alpitour sales area application, allowing the transmission and reception of messages to and from the outside (both email and fax format)
• Active Directory synchronization:
  the ability to "populate" the Kofax Communication Server address book by defining an active directory "scope" is important since it offers the ability to manage users only on the specific system by inheriting the import rules on the KCS by pre-defining them
